Thinking about values, choices and meaning is part of life and is not an illness. It becomes important to seek help when low mood, anxiety or despair takes over everyday functioning.
- Questions such as: what matters to me, where do I belong and how do I want to move forward?
- Doubts about work, a relationship, faith, parenthood or other major choices.
- Write down what matters to you and which small activity fits with this during the coming week.
- Talk to someone who listens without immediately taking over your decision.
- Make an appointment if low mood, anxiety or emptiness persists almost every day and your ability to function declines.
- For urgent GP care outside office hours, call HAP 9252. Call Ambulance 912 only for an immediate threat to life.
