Liver damage

Liver damage can result from MASLD, alcohol, viruses, autoimmune diseases or other long-term strain on the liver. You may notice little at first, but scarring can develop over time: fibrosis and later cirrhosis. Advanced liver damage can cause fluid in the abdomen, bleeding, jaundice and confusion. Stop alcohol completely if liver damage is suspected and have warning signs assessed promptly.
